I was on the way to my mate’s place when suddenly i was caught in the heaviest storm you’ve ever seen anywhere. Thought i could make it to his place since it was quite nearby.
I decided to take a quick short cut to school via the back road before Chulia st coming from Beach St. I wasn’t speeding at all.. whoever who wishes to speed in that rain is asking to be shot with water pellets. The car in front was also having the same idea and turned in and suddenly noticed there was a car coming out from that lorong then..
WHoosh!
He braked and so did i, only difference is that EX5 dream doesn’t come with auto ABS =(
The car in front was about 5 meters in front when i started to skid, i did the sequence in instinct ; downshift while manually rotating between front and rear breaks to avoid locking but still…
I had to counter steer a few times and i ended 1 foot away from the car, with my eyes peeled wide open and the blood rush still pumping. The screeching sounds from my rear wheel still resounded ringingly in my ears.
By the grace of God I’m still alive *phew*

Sometimes it’s weird to see people go away, even more so the people with whom you have shared so much time and experiences with. Like a worn sock or even your favorite T that you wear to bed, you can become so used to their comforting presence that it is beyond your capability of coming to terms when it is time to say good bye.
Sometimes farewells take a long time to come, but sometimes it could just be as abrupt as the and unexpected as the Brownian motion.
Some farewells are anticipated but somehow you’d lose track of time and its still so sudden.
Guess its hard to let go of people who have left their footprints in our lives but sometimes the best way for us to move on is to keep on keeping on.
Lets us not treat it as if the last train has left but rather lets looks towards the fact that there’ll still be other trains, and best of all, trains that leave the station will eventually cross the station once again.
