Smoked sausage… shaken, not stirred
Friday, November 24th, 2006I guess it was only due that i spent more time doing the things that i’ve neglected while i was on campus…ie. blogging.
So.. what will be on the menu today? sausages or salamis?
A trip down to gurney last night for 007 was great. My take on this bond? not so much the tech- assisted, suave womanizer of the past ( or rather the future ).
The car - The Aston Martin was the car of choice for Casino Royale… and it was just that….a car… nothing special.. no rocket launchers.. no NOS…no neon glow…. just a defilibrator… and 1 with a faulty connection at that.
The watch - Omega.. wahlau..he didn’t even pose with his watch. WHY? ‘cos the watch just did wad a watch is supposed to do. Tell the time.. ( not that he even checked the time ) no metal cutting laser… no gps… no walkie talkie… j u s t a n o r m a l w a t c h !
As being part of my movie tradition, once again me and boonz had the chance to play the all time favourite, fastest growing movie related game… " SPOT THE Sony Ericsson PHONE ep 2 "
This movie is just 1 huge advert for SE phones..not only Bond was spotting a k800, but even matthias was holding a k700, and lets not forget ,even the bomb carrying dude was receiving his orders via the classic Ericsson T30…( vesper- w950, the 2nd person Bond killed- m600 )
Just the sight of Vesper whipping out the steady-shot,best pic,5 MP, T10 was a hint of overkill from the advertising department.
It’s very heart warming to see Bond get a whipping and still able to tell the baddie to scratch a little bit to the right
All in all it we get to know why Bond never falls in love in subsequent stories and that we could learn a lesson from this movie : Never trust a woman who has a funky name like vesper! ( especially if she was still wearing the algerian love note ) jeng jeng jeng!
