Wahey~~ writing this is actually kind of a milestone for me and this blog. I cant believe it was more than 2 years ago that i started to post. I remember that when i first started it was at the height of the blogging bloom. Everyone and anyone had a blog but as time passed, there were fewer updates and most blogs were left idle.

I must confess i’m not a person who has to blog about every single thing that happens in my life but rather i see it as a way to keep friends updated about whats happening around me. Unlike some people, i have no ambitions tobe a world famous blogger ala KennySia or JeffOoi but i have to admit, working as a full time blogger seems to be fun la. So many places you get to visit, so many people to meet, so many experiences just waiting to be …errr … experienced ? ?

Haha.. I’ve also noticed that my blog seems to be dry due to the fact that i seldom take photos to upload and of course the major underlying reason that i don’t have a Digicam at my disposal ma… After the addition of 2.0 Mpx to my arsenal, I’ve had more liberty to put up more pix  =)

I’ve often wondered how many people read my blog, so i actually asked any readers to drop a hi at the end of the post.. and guess what~~
( no la.. u think no1 reply meh? kao ghai …..)

I had people dropping in to say hi.. people whom i’ve not met physically for a long time d… It was heart warming to see that there were people who still can remember me after not seeing for so long liao =)
Anyway.. the post that brought the most comments was this one and i think it was kinda nice having people who drop comments after your posts.

If you haven’t already guessed, this is my 100th post and in some ways 100 can be counted as little over the 2 years but i guess i average more than 3 posts a month la. Counted as good enough for me liao. This may sound like an eulogy but i am considering switching over to blogspot.

What says you guys?

Meatballs?

Currently at my sis’ place chilling before going to Ikea for lunch.

Wanna join? Buzz me :P

Yesterday was alot of fun, met up wit a group of friends that i haven’t seen in 2 years.
Everyone looks preety much the same except for Peaky. She got a new matured, working  adult look d.. no more like the fresh faced student we once knew her as.

I can’t believe that she recognized me by my hairstyle… shucks looks like its time for a new cut eh. Cheng E-kin here i come?

The 1 thing i noticed is that the timing of my trip was rather weird in that Kl people that i knew were all leaving KL this week and the only people that i know that are in KL are all the Penang kia. Irony eh. Well the rest are all working la.. so how to meet up during the day?

Hmm ok la.. time to go Ikea go kia kia d. What’s good there at Ikea?

Oh well, just finished watching the secret
( yes… streaming if you must know…and yes with subtitles)

All this while i wondered what the big secret was, guan lai she’s actually a…

Excellent entertainment value but as a friend ,lets call him ah Dom, pointed out to me that the story is inherently flawed by the logic inconsistency. Why they can see him but they cant see her?

There goes ah Dom, using his analytical skills honed by years of analysing the deep thoughts of physics to disect a movie starred and directed by none other than Jay Chou.

Interesting obervations of the show by ah Dom, but none the less i didn’t cry when he told me " wei..thats the saddest part la " -_- "

Ok…. so maybe i’m not so easily kam tung but i still feel it was a good movie la..
I was wondering where the song ‘ 不能说的秘密‘  would come in.. and actually it only came out with the credits. ( or did i miss it ar? )

Haha…of course i’d give it 2 thumbs up, for strong story telling with an unexpected twist. Ah Dom said they should have left it as a sad story.. but i disagree. Happy ending nice ma. At any rate got 2 hot chicks going after jay.. it has to be a happy ending rite? :P

But the biggest secret that i found out… is that all you need is exceptionally quick fingers with the piano that is, a bicycle and good timing to get the ladies.

“Follow the notes upon a journey

At first sight marks one’s destiny

Once the voyage comes to an end

Return lies within hasty keys”

AIks.. to find out who ah Dom is… click here

So i went to donate blood today.. and got the most shocking news!

I have high blood Pressure! 155/80 !
At first i thought i would be eligible for donating but after i got the news from the nurse, my life began to flash before my eyes.

Warao eh..
Since when de?
I haven’t been eating chocs for such a long time~
Is it the wedges? KFC!!

So in the pursuit to lower my BP, i wondered… could it be stress??
To think of it, still got some unfinished business i have to attend to.
So i decided to kick back, take some cinnamon buns, and watch my stock of series.
To which i discovered a startling fact :

I have only 1 comedy series, the rest are all dramas!
No wonder i’m soo stressed.. all that drama!
Gossips la, superheros la, breaking from a prison la, mafia la, wisteria lane la…
+_+ ( me being drama-tized )

The only relief i get is from a hospital comedy series which incidentally is in its last season. Its really true that nowadays, the trend of series is swaying towards dramas. Gone are the days where the top rating shows were comedies ( Raymond, Friends… etc )

WHY? Nobody wants to smile anymore? all want to be so engrossed in drama?!!
Aiks~ control~ control~ cannot so dai fan yeng anymore~ must learn to relax~

( actually..i believe its the Curry mee i had just prior to donating..or am i just comforting myself)

News?

October 26th, 2007 by loveemma

As i was reading the news this morning, it struck me that alot .. and i mean ALOT of people are still holding on to the theory of evolution.

How can anyone choose to beleive that they came from monkeys is just beyond me. ( Just as much why some people think we’re decendents of aliens -__- "" )

NST online published 2 articles which in my opinion makes me feel that they’re on the right track in truthful journalism.

"Science: Old bones poke holes in theory"
Surprising research based on two African fossils suggests our family tree is more like a wayward bush with stubby branches, challenging what had been common thinking on how early humans evolved.

Oh! sooo surprising~~ The article further writes that this discredits the  iconic illustration of human evolution that begins with a knuckle-dragging ape and ends with a briefcase-carrying man.

Apparantly they said " The complete skull of Homo erectus was found within walking distance of an upper jaw of Homo habilis, and both dated from the same general time period. That makes it unlikely that Homo erectus evolved from Homo habilis"

YES! you can NOt get ERECTUS from habilis!

"YourHealth: A not-so-useless appendage"
For such a long time we have all heard and thought the appendix was a vestigial part of our bodies but new research shows that It is a "safe warehouse" for those good germs working in your gut.
Indeed, in less developed countries, where the appendix is more useful, the rates of appendicitis are much lower as other studies have shown.
The researcher commented how this could be beacause of our overly hygienic diet that causes an over reaction from our immune ssystem.
So it clearly shows that every part in our body plays a role.. even if you think its redundant.
Here’s a DID YOU KNOW part
Do you know that… if there were no germs in the gut, you would be dead in just three days?

Wow.. now we know~

OKok..the whole point of this is to tell you that scientist are learning more and more things about our biological history but yet they refuse to discredit evolution all together. why?
Because the only alternative is the idea that SOMEONE created you! ( NO! aliens don’t count! )
